Wallows (bestaande uit Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters en Cole Preston) zijn al sinds hun elfde beste vrienden. Ze begonnen bijna twintig jaar geleden samen muziek te spelen in het LA-muziekprogramma Join the Band en zijn sindsdien niet meer gestopt. In maart 2022 bracht de band hun 2de album uit, Tell Me That It’s Over, geproduceerd door drievoudig Grammy Award-winnaar Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend, Haim, Adele). Op TMTIO evolueerde Wallows hun geluid met lo-fi post-punk, indie-folk en dance en pyschedelica uit de vroege jaren '90.

TMTIO markeerde de volledige opvolger van Wallows’ enorm populaire debuutalbum uit 2019, Nothing Happens, geproduceerd door Grammy Award-winnaar John Congleton (St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten). Het album bleek een van de best gestreamde debuutalbums van dat jaar te zijn. Op livegebied waren Wallows headliner op uitverkochte shows over de hele wereld en traden ze op op grote festivals zoals Coachella, Lollapalooza, Reading en Leeds, en meer.
